The NFL announced that Saints left tackle Jammal Brown has been added to the NFC squad for the Pro Bowl, which will be played on Feb. 8 in Honolulu.

Brown, who was a first alternate when the voting was conducted among fans, coaches and players and announced in December, and Dallas Cowboys tackle Flozell Adams will go to Hawaii as injury replacements for Seattle's Walter Jones and Washington's Chris Samuels.

Brown, a four-year veteran, was voted as a starter in 2006 — when he was also voted to the All-Pro team. But he couldn't play in the game because he had arthroscopic knee surgery after the playoffs ended that year.

Brown will join quarterback Drew Brees as the Saints' only representatives to the all-star game.
